History Loves Staff

We are back, again, this week with another of our staff highlights! It seemed fair since we started with Mrs. Libby Swearingen, that we get her other half’s view of life at Lamy’s. So, this week, we sat down with Reid Swearingen. It’s safe to say that Reid wears many hats at Lamys. On any given day, you can find him working on marketing, recording a podcast for The Partner’s Desk podcast, creating new menu items, or making and plating your food in the kitchen.

We asked him what his favorite part about working at Lamy’s was and he said, “The fact that Libby is here, too.” (awww) He also loves when people compliment the food that he helped to create. Reid tends to thrive in chaos and so the restaurant world is perfectly suited for him.

Reid Loves Pork

Just like his better half, Libby, Reid also loves the pork tenderloin. “I’m a pork snob and these guys cook and serve it incredibly well.” It sounds like we need to be ordering the pork, doesn’t it?

If you know Reid even a little bit, you know he rarely strays from his Scotch, but if the wind is blowing just right and he’s feeling adventurous, the Tequila Mockingbird or the Peach Old Fashioned is the two drinks he orders. And while we are incredibly biased, we’ve had many people compliment our Old Fashioneds and we feel confident it’s the best you can order.

Pork Loves Josey

We don’t know if pork really does love Josey records, but we’ve got a thing going, ya know! We have to ask our staff if they’ve discovered any new artists that they wouldn’t have otherwise if it wasn’t for Josey Records being in the building. Reid loves the expertly crafted playlists that stream throughout the building.

Through these playlists, he’s come to love Leon Bridges, Lake Street Dive, and even Fats Domino. To get to know Reid better, take a listen to our podcast, stop by and have a scotch with him, or feel the vibes with a new record at Josey Records. And for the love of all that’s holy….ORDER. THE. PORK. TENDERLOIN! See you at Lamy’s where history loves company.
