History Loves Art

We are so fortunate to be able to Work, Live, and Play in a building that is basically a historical piece of art. Every step we take brings up a memory from the past and in that same step, makes new memories here in the present. When we take in the walls, the floors, the ceilings and marry our memories with those who inhabit and walk among here now, it’s nothing short of a living art display. And we aren’t gonna lie to you…we’re here for it.

We’re also lucky to have original pieces of artwork and files with which we’ve blown up and made our own artwork with. They are the talk of the town. It never fails that on any given night, someone asks about a piece of our art. And here’s the thing, it never gets old. It’s never tiresome to talk about the rich history in which we grew up in. There’s a sweet spirit among these walls and in refinishing this building in the way we did, we hoped that anyone who enters and takes a look around will feel that same spirit. We believe they are.

We have made it our goal to blend the past with the present to create a new future. And one of the ways in which we try and accomplish this is by hosting art walks and art classes. How very fitting to be painting your new, modern art, while you relish in the pieces around you. There’s something almost poetic about that. If you feel like being a part of this poetry, consider joining our next Paint the Town art class. We host every other month or so, and it’s always a great time. Come on down, order dinner and drinks, and get your art on with a friend or two. After all, history loves company.
