History Loves Working

Does anyone LOVE work? We think the answer may surprise you. Creating something, inventing something, overseeing something, managing something…all of these things give one purpose. And because our roots run deep in the working world around here, we’re kind of fond of work.

If you’re new here, welcome! Lamy’s is a pretty special place that’s been around for over 100 years. We were erected to make clothing, provide jobs, and enrich a growing economy over a century ago. Now, many generations later, we’re still doing most of that! While we’ve traded in our sewing machines for tablecloths, and our work gloves for kitchen aprons, the concept remains the same. We exist to make something wonderful, provide jobs and enrich our growing economy.

Nowadays, we are working hard to bring Sedalia an elevated culinary experience. With a menu that we’ve spent hours tasting, testing, and trying, we feel confident each season that what we plate is made with the freshest, quality ingredients.

We do currently have a few jobs available, too. From bartenders, wait staff, and cooks in the kitchen to Josey Records (where we need someone who loves music and books)–there’s a job for you here. And we promise you that the environment isn’t like anything you’ve worked in before. As the man in charge said yesterday, “2023 is 1/12th of the way over.” Let’s not waste another day. Come join us at Lamy’s! After all, history loves company.
