History Loves Ball
We kick off March Madness TODAY with the rest of the country! Our TVs are on, the beers are cold, and the apps are hot and fresh out the kitchen! Coincidentally, basketball was invented in 1891, not long after our Lamy’s business joined the scene. Basketball was invented at a YMCA to keep young men less injury-prone playing a sport than football allowed.
It also served as a way to play sports indoors during the winter. In 1908 an invitational affair for a few schools to compete paved the way to a full statewide tournament with over 900 schools competing by the 1930s. From there, men, women, and children alike have filled out their brackets every March in hopes to be the last man standing.
Ball loves Beer
We KNOW you can watch ball without beer, but where’s the fun in that?? Our beers are ice cold and we offer a variety on tap as well as bottled. We know there’s something for everyone in your party and if ya don’t like beer, well, hey…lucky for you we have a full bar with the best bartenders in Pettis County. Come in. Sit down. Drink a drink. Watch some ball. It really is that simple.
We recommend a bowl for lunch and our Greek Bowl can’t be beaten. With fresh grilled chicken, couscous, olive oil, red onions, marinated tomatoes and cucumbers, fresh goat cheese, and our house-made vinaigrette, you’ll leave full and satisfied. Craving something more hearty..well, we got you covered with a full menu of steaks, potatoes, and all the good-good you need in your life.
Don’t come alone, though. History Loves Company and so do we!
