History Loves Cocktails
Someone threw a cute umbrella and an orange slice on the top of your glass and called it a cocktail. But, is it really? Doubtful. So, what does a cocktail entail? Mostly spirits, water, sugars, bitters, and a whole lot of history. While most think cocktails originated in America, it’s actually the British who inspired what we think of in today’s modern cocktail world.
During the `18th century, the British drank “punch bowls” in “punch houses.” These were giant bowls of spirits mixed with fruit juices, spices, and other flavors. Think of today’s fishbowl margaritas and you’re pretty much there. What any cocktail connoisseur agrees on, though, is that cocktails need to be stimulating.

Cocktails Love No. 5
We’ve done a fair amount of bragging on our cocktails at No. 5 Bistro. Why? Because they are that damn good. We take the time, the effort, and do a lot of practice drinking to bring you the ultimate cocktail experience. It’s a hard job drinking all the ones that don’t make the cut, but someone’s gotta do it.
What we’re left with each season is a refined group of cocktails that are talked about long after the night is over. If you’re feeling fancy, come grab our Strawberry Thyme Collins, the All Biz and Mango, or maybe our new Smoked Bourbon Sour. No matter your choice, it’s going to be a winner. Drink it inside in our energetic bar or head to our award-winning patio to toss a few cornhole bags.
Just don’t play alone. History Loves Company. So grab a friend and let’s make this a party.
