History Loves Educators
The history of the education system can be traced back to 2000 BC when the Xia dynasty created government-built schools to educate the aristocrats about ancient Chinese rituals, literature, and even archery. It’s hard to imagine the students of the current 2000’s learning archery as the main subject!
What hasn’t changed since the beginning is the admiration and respect that the world has for its local educators. The same can be said of us at Lamy’s for our local teachers, administration, and educators. We know these teachers pour their heart and soul into our children and we are so grateful. In a time where being a teacher is hands down one of the hardest careers one could choose, we want to make sure our local teachers know how much they are loved and appreciated.
Educators Love Happy Hour
It’s true. Happy Hour is happy for a reason. One, it’s always full of friends and laughter. Two, it’s cheaper! Why not celebrate a win in your workweek at a fun hang with great drinks and amazing appetizers?! We are officially giving you the Greenlight to head on over and no, we aren’t talking about our custom cocktail made from gin, lime, cucumber, and mint…though, you really should order that!
Our cocktail hour at No. 5 Bistro and Bar offers an energetic setting, craft cocktails, full bar service, and a patio to boot. Need more out of your happy hour? How about patio seating, a game of cornhole, or even a stroll through your favorite records or your next favorite book at Josey Records? Really, the only thing that could make this even sweeter is packing the patio with all your colleagues. We’re certain they will appreciate the invitation.
Happy Hour Loves Appetizers
Obviously, craft cocktails are made to go with solid appetizers, are we right?! Some of our fan faves include our Goat Cheese Croquettes. Originally, these creamy, deep-fried rounds of goodness were served on top of our salad. After a guest asked us her server to “bring me a bowl of these and I don’t care what they cost,” they found a permanent spot on our menu.
Recently, we became bread makers at Lamy’s. That’s right, we are making our own dough, watching it rise, baking it until golden brown, and slicing it to perfection. We serve it with various accompaniments including our house-made honey butter and blue cheese spread. We have no doubt it will be the perfect appetizer for any of your happy hour libations. Hurry in, the drinks are cool and the grill is hot. Bring your teacher friends. After all, history loves company.
