History Loves Fruit

You could say that fruit is what started the downfall of humanity. Though, that’s a bold statement to make. But, if one were to believe in biblical truths, history does indeed show us that eating an apple led us to where we are today. Imagine…an apple so perfect that you risked the downfall of man to eat it.

But, alas, the fruit was what the world survived on for thousands of years. Fruits, fresh meats, and leafy greens that were available in the wilderness.

At No. 5 Bistro and Bar, we use fruit in a variety of ways. For our Saturday brunch, we offer a fruit bowl on a bed of creamy yogurt, topped with granola and honey. We also offer several savory dishes with a fruit element. It’s hard to beat our Fig and Walnut Salad and our Chelsea’s Turkey Brie (featuring caramelized apples).

Though, perhaps one of the places we allow fruit to shine the most is behind our beautiful bar. If you’re into day drinking, (and come on–who isn’t?) our Palomas and Mimosas are impossible to beat. If you find yourself with endless responsibilities in the day, we get that. We’ve got a full bar for when you tap out at the time clock! Some of our favorites are the Strawberry Thyme Collins, our Melaza Punch, and the Peach Old Fashioned.

But…If you visit soon, you can take a sip of our newest creation, the Cantaloupe Martini. It’s damn delicious. That’s all I’m gonna tell you. Our suggestion? Grab a friend, grab a lover and come sip on the good stuff. After all, history loves company.
