History Loves Lofts

When we sat down and thought about the remodel of this special Lamy building, we knew we wanted to have a place for some kick-ass apartments. The nine industrial-styled loft apartments now traverse the space that was originally used to cut rolls of denim into shape. There are eight 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom units with 2 distinctly different floor plans to choose from and one 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment.

Our apartments are truly spectacular and works of art – the views, the appliances, the size, the bathrooms, the storage, the floors, the brick walls, the provided window treatments, the included utilities, the modern elevator. Spectacular. But probably the most spectacular thing about them is that they sit atop the single most unique community in out-state Missouri. Our nine apartments give our tenants front row seats to the Ox Horn Market, Josey Records, No. 5 Bistro & Bar, and to all of the events and happenings that these establishments bring to our building.

We enjoy when our tenants spend their nights saddled up to the bar watching football, sipping wine, and just enjoying the luxury of not having a home to upkeep. They love that they are within walking distance to the Historic Downtown Sedalia where they can leisurely stroll, shop, sip, and more. It was a unique vision that came to life better than we could’ve imagined.

Lofts Loves Retail

If you’re looking for a place to find unique designs, styles, and home decor to decorate your new Lamy’s Loft, you needn’t look far. Just head down one flight of stairs (or uses the elevator) and check out the styles of Southern Maven. Southern Maven is a small, family-owned shop that features beautiful home decor, women’s and children’s clothing, plants, furniture and so much more!

Southern Maven combines many local boutiques under one large shopping space. We love grabbing a cocktail from the No. 5 Bistro or maybe even a pineapple soda from the OxHorn to sip while we shop. Speaking of sipping, make sure you mark your calendars for Sips and Succulents at Southern Maven on Oct. 21st. Learn how to make your own adorable pumpkin succulents with Jessica from The Funky Pot! Grab your friends and join us for a fun night in with drinks and charcuterie!

Retail loves Relaxation

After you’ve shopped until you dropped, there’s no better way to recoup and relax than grabbing a fall dinner on our No. 5 Bistro patio. Enjoy the succulent flavors of our new fall menu while you enjoy a libation or two. While we think any choice is the right one, you can’t go wrong starting off with a charcuterie board while you wait for dinner to arrive. Featuring the freshest ingredients that change as the seasons do, you can rest assured that your board will be the ultimate app each and every time.

For dinner, we really recommend the Pesto Shrimp Rigatoni. Rigatoni pasta cooked to al dente, fresh shrimp, sundried tomatoes, roasted pecans, goat cheese, and our house-made pesto cream sauce. It’s simply exceptional. Don’t take our word for it, though. Grab a friend and head on in. After all, History Loves Company.
